Chapters may NEVER reduce the basic national criteria. Individual chapters may, in their bylaws, add to these criteria. Undergraduate coursework does not count towards graduate student eligibility. Graduate students must have completed 9 graduate credits in political science with no grade lower than a B. They need not be political science majors to qualify for membership. Undergraduates must meet the following criteria: They must have completed at least one-half the credits required by their institution for the baccalaureate degree they must have completed at least ten semester-credits (or 15 quarter-credits if their institution is on the quarter system) of work in political science including at least one upper-division course, with an average grade of B or higher in those courses they must have achieved an overall GPA placing them in the top one-third of their whole class (e.g., junior or senior class). Membership in Pi Sigma Alpha is open to undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled in programs of political science in institutions where chapters are located. The academic requirements for membership eligibility follow those set by ACHS for this category of honor society, and are specified in the Pi Sigma Alpha Constitution, Article I, “Membership.” Pi Sigma Alpha is classified by the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS) as an “upper division, specialized” honor society.

You can also build the Compost to gain the ability to turn grass into poop.įinally, the Harvest Totem. If you want to make accessing your followers’ poop easier, build an Outhouse so they all go in the same spot. This will let your followers auto-fertilize your crops for you. But instead of filling it with seeds, you fill it with poop. The Fertilizer Silo works very similarly to the Seed Silo. The Trap Scarecrow upgrade adds a bear trap to the Scarecrow, which will occasionally catch birds and turn them into meat. You can either sacrifice a plot space to do this, or you can opt to do what I did: Build two Scarecrows on either end of your farm for full coverage. To fix this, you’ll need to research and build a Scarecrow, which covers a wide range. If you watch your basic farm with any frequency, you’ll notice that birds will occasionally fly down and pluck your seeds from their plots. This effectively automates the entire farm process. Now when you come back from Crusades, you should have a chest full of goodies to cook with and more seeds already planted in your farm. This upgrades your Farmer Station with a chest and allows your followers to harvest crops for you. The most important farm upgrade, and the thing you want to nab quickly after reaching cult level 3, is the Farmer Station 2. Improving your farm Image: Massive Monster/Devolver Digital via PolygonĪs you upgrade your cult and increase your Devotion levels, you’ll gain access to some new tools to improve your farm: Cult level 2Įach of these upgrades will improve your farm or your overall cult, so let’s go over how to use them. Note: After planting a seed, you can use followers’ poop to fertilize plants for a better yield. All you need to do is refill the Seed Silo and harvest the plants once they’re ready. With this basic setup, your followers will automate part of your farm for you. This is a building where you can store some of your excess seeds, which your followers will pull from and plant in empty plots. Somewhere near your farm - but outside of the diamond, so you don’t waste space - place a Seed Silo. If you don’t have the resources or need to fill the entire thing, you can come back and finish it later. Place your Farmer Station somewhere where you’ve got plenty of room, and build as many Farm Plots as you’d like inside the blue diamond. This is the effective range of the station, and it tells you where you should and shouldn’t put Farm Plots. When you go to place a Farmer Station, you’ll notice a blue diamond around the building. Enter the Farming Bundle, which includes the Farmer Station and the Seed Silo. While this an easy way to get food, farming by yourself can be time-consuming, and you’ve got heretics to slay. After a few days, the plant will mature and you’ll be able to pick it. To grow food, all you need to do is build a Farm Plot, plant a seed (which you can purchase from a vendor, get from Crusades, or harvest from plants) in that Farm Plot, water it, and wait. The first will allow you to grow food for your followers, and the second will allow your followers to help you. Your first two Devotion upgrades for your cult should be the Farm Plot and the Farming Bundle. The basics Image: Massive Monster/Devolver Digital via Polygon In this guide, we’ll teach you how to build a great farm in Cult of the Lamb so you can keep your followers fed. Massive Monster has a simple solution to solve your food problems: Build a farm. The latter is quick and painless, but gathering enough high-quality food is a problem you’ll run into frequently in Cult of the Lamb - especially as you increase your follower count. In other words: you still need to feed them and pick up their poop. but your followers still have needs of the flesh. Cult of the Lamb is all about keeping the faith - others’ faith in you, your own faith in The One Who Waits, etc. There are otherworldly and multidimensional environments, interactive technology, and wonders of color and light. What You’ll Need If there’s ever a recipe to use that fancy bottle of Tahitian vanilla extract, this is it. While chocolate gets a lot more attention, vanilla-or, at least, real vanilla-has so much more depth to it. This the kind of dessert that proves vanilla should never be under-estimated. There are no firms in Nigeria focused on production of anything on a "Micro" scale, but they offer these courses to milk people, rather than provide alternatives. Originally Nigeria does not have any need for "micro" education. Take a look "microbiology" for example, it's an expensive course of study that's often given to students who fail to cut it in medicine or pharmacy. One of the reasons why in anti-education/degree in Nigeria is because the essence of education in Nigeria is to milk people of their hard-earned money rather than impact them rightfully, then provide a platform for those that have excelled in their field. The economy is fashioned to take from the poor and give to the those in power, in form of a reverse "Robin Hood". This is because originally Nigeria has no platforms, people who have skills turns entrepreneurs with little or no funding. The way the Nigerian economy is structured, many people who are dependent on educational skills to thrive will implode. The truth is, most real-time economy is static, they provide opportunities for skill sets that are only relevant for the moment and ignore bringing online skills to the table being that the aspect of job seeking and money making is becoming interestingly dynamic. One of the reasons why Africa as a whole might still be backward is not recognizing digitization as a game changer. I had these fringe skills back in the days, and it was difficult to find a platform to showcase them. He However pointed out that I had good oratory skills, my writing skills too were good. Fast-forward to 2022, education has become very expensive, acquiring a degree means you'll need other knowledge to put food on your table. These were skills that could fetch you a lucrative job back in the days if you could back it up with a degree. I couldn't play the guitar, paint an art, solve mathematics, do carpentry work, neither do I have any engineering nor mechanic skills. I was surprised (well, not that surprised) to see a significantly different trace, even with the same EQ settings as the first one. Now, because I was getting more complaints from some musicians that others, I decided to drag another wedge over and take a measurement. So the response could be called flat, ☑ dB from 80 Hz-17 KHz (the right edge of the graph is 17 KHz, as set in my prefs)-that’s not too shabby. It might look a bit wonky, but realize that this time, the heavy grid lines are 1 dB. After spending some time with the PEQs built into the KTs, I ended up with a sweep that looked like this: I made a 12 dB adjustment on the gain for the low channel (actually I cut 6 off the top and added 6 to the low). So we started off with the low end some 13 dB below the mid- and upper-range not so good. Keep in mind that each light grid line is 1 dB. The resultant frequency response is shown on a graph. The software emits a quick click that is used for impulse measurements (great for setting delay, but that’s another post), then a swept sine wave from 20 Hz to 20 KHz (or in my case, 50-17K it’s user-adjustable). All you need to do is hook the mic up to a USB interface and press measure. FuzzMeasure uses swept sine wave deconvolution to report frequency response. I started off with a great little program I found called FuzzMeasure Pro 3 (from SuperMegaUltraGroovy Software, the best software company name ever). I’ve found swept tone gets me a lot closer a lot faster than pink noise, without the grating noise. I’ve been learning more about more modern forms of measurement including swept tone and FFT, so that’s how I went about this process. But that amount of noise (I measured at 94 dB SPL-A) gets annoying really fast. In the past, I would have started running pink noise through the system and looking at the response on an RTA. The only real boundary is the stage itself, and my goal was a pretty linear system that is, flat and set up so that what goes into the board comes out of the monitors. I took the following approach: When EQ’ing monitors, you really aren’t worried much about the room as it’s really a near-field monitor. I positioned a wedge in the middle of the stage, and placed our Earthworks M-30 measurement mic right about where a musician would stand. Once I had that going, I had a nice, graphical interface with which to adjust the settings. I should mention that KT’s tech support was very helpful and quick in getting this running. It took me a little bit, but I finally got my Mac talking to the 9848s (using Parallels, XP and a RS232-USB converter). Aside from the split, it’s a decent system. The KTs feed a rack of QSC amps, which in turn feed EAW SM12 monitors. The omni outs of the M7 go to two Klark-Technik 9848 4 x 8 processors set up in 4 x-Biamp mode. One split goes to a Yamaha M7CL console in monitor world. I knew it would take a while to remedy this, but I set aside a day to go through and fix the wedges.įirst off, here is our signal chain: Each mic gets plugged into a splitter (it’s passive, not transformer isolated, which was a bad choice, but not mine). If he says he needs 185 cut 3 dB, he needs 185 cut at 3 dB.Īs we listened to his wedge, it was clear that the sound he was putting out of his horn was not being faithfully reproduced by the wedge. He’s a very discriminating guy who really knows sound. This article is provided by ChurchTechArts.Ī while back, I was having a discussion about the sound quality of our monitors with our sax player. Unlike his iconoclastic Democratic colleague Kyrsten Sinema, Kelly has kept a low profile in the chamber so far, and he’ll face the challenge of distinguishing himself from his party’s brand. Mark Kelly (D), a former astronaut, was also another of Democrats’ biggest success stories in a 2020 special election, who also must now run for a full term in a state that narrowly tipped from Trump to Biden. Meanwhile, Democrats hope the presence of Warnock and likely gubernatorial nominee Stacey Abrams on the ballot will motivate Black voters to turn out for them.Īrizona: Sen. But some are a bit worried about Walker, who’s a political novice with a good deal of baggage in his personal history (for instance, his ex-wife alleged that he put a gun to her head and threatened to kill her). Republicans are hoping Democrats’ narrow Georgia triumphs last cycle were a fluke, and that the long-red state is moving back toward the GOP. His likely opponent is Herschel Walker (R), a former University of Georgia football star, making this a rare US Senate race likely to feature two Black major party nominees. Raphael Warnock (D) won his seat in a high-stakes January 2021 runoff, but that was a special election he has to run again for a full term this fall. Republicans’ top Democratic-held Senate targets Youyou Zhou/Vox Democrats’ Senate chances likely hinge on whether enough of their candidates can escape this partisan gravity, arguing either that they’re not just another Democrat, or that their opponent is a uniquely unfit Republican. It’s reasonable to expect that with Biden’s national standing declining, Senate seats in these states are in great danger of slipping out of Democrats’ grasp.īut while Senate race outcomes have become more correlated with national partisanship, individual candidates do frequently overperform or underperform the overall trend. These six states - four held by Democrats, and two held by Republicans - are currently the core of the 2022 competitive Senate map, though other contests could also come into play. Nevada, meanwhile, trended right relative to the country between 20, though Biden still won it. At least once in either 2016 or 2020, Trump either won or came quite close to winning Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia, Arizona, and New Hampshire. Another way to think about the map is that there are six true swing states with races this cycle. (They do have three such seats coming up in 2024, which will be a major challenge, but that’s a problem for another time.) Meanwhile, there are two GOP-held seats in states Biden narrowly won, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, on the ballot.īut that’s likely too optimistic for Democrats. In the two most recent midterm cycles, they were badly exposed, with several incumbents in states the Republican presidential candidate just won. “Mismatched” senators, who represent a state their party’s presidential nominee lost, are becoming rarer.įrom that perspective, Democrats have a pretty okay map in 2022. Senate races have been falling in line with the state’s presidential party preference. The vast majority of those races (16 of 20) had the same partisan outcome as either the presidential race that year or, in midterm years without a presidential contest, the most recent one. In the past decade, there have been 20 individual Senate elections where a seat ended up flipping to the other party. A GOP takeover would dramatically constrain the next two years of Biden’s presidency, and set progressives up for even more disappointment in this administration than they’ve already faced. Senate control would give Republicans veto power over Biden’s appointees - new Cabinet secretaries and subcabinet officials, as well as judges, including even a future Supreme Court justice should a vacancy unexpectedly arise. Losing the Senate would be an even more painful blow. Most analysts expect Democrats to lose the House. But if the national environment keeps looking so dire for the party and the president, that would be a tall order. If Democrats manage to hold their losses to a minimum, or make up for them by defeating Republicans elsewhere, they could keep Senate control. The main thing they have going for them is a decent map - they aren’t defending any seats in states Trump won in 2020, while Republicans are defending two states Biden narrowly won. However, Democrats do still have a way to hold on. Second, the Senate is already split 50-50, so a net gain of even just one seat for Republicans would flip the chamber into their hands. The GOP has improved in generic ballot polls and won the governor’s seat in Virginia last November. First, the national environment has moved in their favor. Republicans appear favored to win back the Senate for two simple reasons. Democrats’ control of the 50-50 Senate could well be washed away by a red wave in this fall’s midterm elections.
